2006-presentThe Corrs have been on hiatus since 2006. Sharon, Jim, and Caroline are raising their own families while Andrea pursues her solo career. Sharon married Gavin Bonnar, a Belfast barrister, on 29 July 2001. Since then, they've had two children, Cathal Robert Gerard and Flori Jean Elizabeth. Jim's child, Brandon, was born in 2006 to Gayle Williamson, his ex-fiance and the former Miss Northern Ireland. Caroline married Frank Woods, a property developer in Majorca, Spain on 22 August 2002. They currently have three children, Jake Gerrard, Georgina and Rihann.
Andrea released her first solo album, Ten Feet High, on 25 June 2007. It was produced by Nellee Hooper, who has worked with Gwen Stefani and Madonna; Bono was an executive producer. Her first single, Shame on You (to Keep My Love from Me) was an up-tempo pop song about men and women going to war and leaving behind partners they may never see again. It received positive reviews from music critics; IndieLondon described the song as a slick package that was polished, well produced and with a message that's difficult to ignore. Losing Today's David Adair gave the song a strong review, writing that Corr's vocals were crisp and uplifting. Liverpool's Daily Post gave the song a three-star rating, commenting that it was deceptively upbeat, which masked its heavier message about conscription and war.
The Corrs released their first remix album, Dreams: The Ultimate Corrs Collection, on 20 November 2006. The album consisted of remixes of original tracks that had been previously released. However, the album charted poorly and only reached #24 in Ireland. On September 25, 2007, The Corrs released another compilation album, The Works. The album consists of 3 CD's which featured songs that were previously released before. It performed worse than its predecessor, failing to chart at all.
